Adding Paillettes

Ok BIG question for me here. I just bought a 100% silk costume and my instructor wants me to add Paillettes to it before April 19 which is my first performance. I am REALLY concerned about ruingin the garments as I hae never hand stitched anything onto silk and I heard it can be tricky! What is the best way to do this? I need answers quickly!

    I'm not sure why adding paillettes to sillk would be more tricky than other fabric. Are you talking about adding them to the edge? If it were me, I'd be looking for a third and fourth hand to keep the fabric under control while working on it. For me, those extra hands are pony clamps that I use to clamp whatever I am working on to the edges of a cutting board.
